2. Inspection and treatment of Panasonic battery fault
First, the battery is maintained for general maintenance and then discharged at 2 hourly rate. During the discharge process, the voltage of the battery is continuously measured, and the "backward" battery with insufficient discharge capacity is selected for treatment. First add 1.050 of dilute sulfuric acid to just see the presence of mobile electrolyte, and then continue charging for 12-15 hours. When charging, pay attention to the battery temperature should not exceed 50 degrees. After the charging is completed, the 0.5-4 hours are kept for 2 hours. In the discharge process, if the discharge time is not up to the standard or the discharge voltage reaches 1.6V, the difference between the discharge time and the normal Panasonic cell is larger (more than 5 minutes after three months, more than 8 minutes after six months, more than 10 minutes after nine months, more than 15 minutes after 13 months). The above charging and discharging procedures need to be repeated until the requirements are met.
If there is no obvious increase in battery capacity or low voltage of about 0 V after repeated charging and discharging cycles, such batteries generally have short circuit, or active substances are severely falling off and softening, and serious irreversible sulfation, which can not be repaired, they should be treated as scrap. Batteries that meet the requirements can continue to be used, but should be charged at a constant voltage of 15V / only, drain the flowing electrolyte, wipe off the surface of the battery, install cap valves, and use PVC (or chloroform) adhesives to bond the panel.
